The 2006 acquisition of Combest Inc. added expertise in design, deployment, and managing telephony, data networking, and convergence solutions to our portfolio. It also expanded our monitoring and managed services capabilities, including a state-of-the art network operations center (NOC) in Norcross, Georgia.
Acquiring Empire Technologies in 2009 significantly expanded our sales presence in the northeastern United States. It also allowed us to provide former Empire customers with local NACR coverage in the rest of the U.S. The acquisition added even more Nortel maintenance expertise and carrier services to our multivendor services portfolio. Integrating Empire’s New Jersey NOC increased our capacity to monitor systems and deliver other managed services. Today, our two NOCs support millions of ports.

S1 IT Solutions (formerly SourceOne) is an authorized IBM, Cisco, Microsoft, NetApp, and EMC solution provider that offers high-value data infrastructure products and services for enterprises, government, and midsized businesses. It specializes in consulting for infrastructure, virtualization, and optimization of computing environments. S1 also offers planning, design, and implementation expertise, along with training and ongoing technical support.
